We don't know about you, but we are D-O-N-E with 2016.
Now get your champagne out of the fridge and pop that bottle! If trashy champagne showers and drinking from the bottle is not quite your style
(Don't worry.. We won't judge if it is), we've got some recipes that will get you fabulously legless.
RASPBERRY PINK CHAMPAGNE FLOATS
2-3 scoops raspberry sorbet
1 cup pink champagne (I used Barefoot Pink Moscato)
fresh raspberries for garnish
Place scoops of sorbet in large wine glass.
Pour champagne over the sorbet.
Top with raspberries.
Allow to melt while you sip or eat with a spoon, either way works.
COTTON CANDY CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL
3 dashes bitters
1/2 ounces lime or lemon juice
1 handful cotton candy
Champagne or Sparkling Wine
Combine bitters and citrus juice in the bottom of a champagne coup.
Float the cotton candy on top (try to have it touch the liquid in the glass as little as possible).
Drizzle champagne over it to serve.
GRAPEFRUIT SAGE MIMOSA
4 ounces fresh squeezed ruby red grapefruit juice, strained
1 1/2 ounce elderflower liqueur
2 fresh sage leaves
4 ounces Prosecco or sparkling white wine
Grapefruit slice or twist, for garnish
Add grapefruit juice, elderflower liqueur and one of the sage leaves
to a cocktail shaker filled with ice; shake until chilled.
Strain into a glass filled with ice.
Top with Prosecco and garnish with the remaining sage leaf and grapefruit slice.
